    Kids and Families

We get it. It can be hard to connect to a church as a family. If you have little ones you’re working around naps and worried about noise. If your kids are older it’s the land of crazy schedules and a million things to do. We want to be a church that values real kids and real families, not just the idea of kids and families. We’re here to be a spiritual resource in the midst of the unending journey that is life together. Our goal is simply to help you love God and love others in an environment that feels safe and sacred.

EXPLORING FAITH TOGETHER, LEARNING FROM EACH OTHER, AND MAKING A DIFFERENCE IN THE WORLD

PreK - 3rd Grade

Sundays at 9:30am
During the Sermon Time

Families are encouraged to worship together for the majority of the morning service, then Kids Time offers a short change of scenery for kids during the sermon at 9:30am. Kids Time is our way of sharing the mornings message in an age appropriate way. Our adult leaders walk the group upstairs to Ellis Hall and return while prayers are being collected.

Sundays at 5pm
Ellis Hall

Our 4th, 5th and 6th Grade Youth Group at Sanctuary is place where kids are able to be themselves, ask tough questions, and experience a supportive community.

The vision for 456 is the same as our vision for Sanctuary - to create a safe, sacred place for kids, help them connect to God and explore faith, and provide opportunities to respond to what God is doing through service projects and activities.

Affirm!
Affirm!

7th Grade - 9th Grade

Sundays at 5pm
Meeting Room

Affirm! is our way of challenging middle and high school students to see that they have been made for great things. That they are loved. That God has affirmed their goodness and purpose in this world, and to set off on a journey of exploration and discovery together. Some weeks Affirm! has deep conversations. Other weeks we run around. We have two retreats every year, and every other month we try to do an awesome service project!

First Fridays at 6pm
Coffee Loft

Youth Group is an attempt to carve out some safe, sacred space in the midst of a crazy time in life. We try to balance fun with things that are deep and meaningful, in an enviroment that provides a refuge from the stress and pressure of the week. Weeks alternate between service projects, discussions, just hanging out, and everything in between.

HOW WE Create a

Safe Sanctuary

Sanctuary is committed to ensuring that all children and youth involved in Sanctuary ministries are able to participate in an environment that is safe and secure. Just like the public schools and other similar organizations, all volunteers that work with kids at Sanctuary are required to complete a CORI check and adhere to our Safe Sanctuary policies. Want to learn more? Download our Safe Sanctuary policies below or contact Amy Smith, our Safe Sanctuary coordinator, for more information.
